Renovation of a municipal facility in Toledo, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The City of Toledo is interested in receiving quotes to have two building's roofs replaced. These two buildings are located in downtown Toledo and next to one another in proximity, 545 N. Huron and 550 N. Erie. We are interested in having both roofs replaced this year (2023), but will accepts bids that with project start dates in the spring of 2024. The city of Toledo encourages all bidders to achieve a 15% MBE participation on all construction contracts. The MBE companies must be registered with the city of Toledo for these percentages to count towards this goal 550 N. Erie - Current Roof System is a mechanically fastened base sheet, 1/2" wood fiber board mopped, 4-Ply BUR. New System must include the following: o Remove all of the existing roofing material, wall flashings, curb flashings, penetration flashings, and edge metal o Items that are longer required on roof may be eliminated (to be confirmed by owner) o Repair/replace any and all bad decking utilizing tongue & grove pressure treated lumber/decking. Photo documentation required o Mechanically attach two (2) layers of 2.2" polyiso insulation meeting ASTM C1289, type II, Class I, Grade 2 (20Psi) equaling a25 R-Value o Fully Adhere a 60mil black EPDM (ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) meeting ASTM D 4637, Type I roof membrane o Attachment of roof system to meet FM I-90 rating o Fully adhere all curb flashings, wall flashings, and penetration flashings o EPDM membrane must be installed under the existing slate shingle roofing o Install Pressure Treated lumber at the perimeter to bring perimeter blocking to the same height of the insulation o Install 22-ga Kynar coated galvanized steel edge metal with minimum 20-ga galvanized steel cleat. Include manufacturer's standard colors to be chosen by the City of Toledo o Install minimum 24-ga Kynar coated galvanized steel counter flashings and/or slip flashings. Include manufacturer's standard colors to be chosen by the City of Toledo o Include a Manufacturer's NDL 20 year / 55 mph warranty covering material and workmanship o Raise curbs to meet 8" minimum flashing heights o No wrinkles allowed in the roof system. The following items will be required upon awarding the contract: Performance Bond and PLA, if applicable. Special Notices Prevailing Wages are required for this project. It is the obligation of a contractor or subcontractor to make payment in accordance with the prevailing wage determinations. Current prevailing wage rates may be found on the Division of Purchases and Supplies on the Ohio Department of Commerce Deposit to guarantee bid.
