A certified check, bank draft, or a bid bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal.This work includes the following: Install of 4 grinder pump stations, sewer service line extensions, 4 clean outs and 338 L.F. of 1 1/4 " force main, applicable appurtenances, traffic control, and surface restoration. Bidders will be responsible for all materials and installation of the piping, pumps, electrical, excavation, backfill and compaction, testing, pavement repair, surface restoration and seeding, and any other appurtenance necessary to complete the specified work. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of bid openings. All bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the OWNER for any damage or claim brought by any bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the OWNER because of such rejections, and the filing of any bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the bidder to these conditions. A performance BOND and a payment BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. All questions about the meaning or intent of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS shall be submitted to the ENGINEER in writing.
