As of September 26, 2023 project was awarded to Williams Paving, awarded amount is $99,941.01 Full Depth Reclamation and Paving of Otis Center Fire Station at 15 South Main Road, Otis, MA. The project consists of paving the front and rear areas. Front area consists of removing and disposing of all existing asphalt, excavate to a depth of 18", place and compact a minimum 14" processed gravel base over soil stabilization fabric, fine grade and compact gravel base for proper drainage and pave approximately 3,050 sq. ft. with 2 1/2 " base asphalt and 1 1/2 " finish asphalt. Rear area to consist of provide full depth reclamation of all existing asphalt and remix into existing gravel base, approximately 6,972 sq. ft. Fine grade and compact gravel base for proper drainage. Area to include existing gravel area at rear of lot. Pave approximately 8,964 sq. ft. with 2" base asphalt and 1 1/2 " finish asphalt. Total project estimated at 1334.8 sq. yds/ 271 tons. The base price for liquid asphalt at this time is $625.00 per ton and the base price for diesel shall be $2.89 per gallon. Price adjustment clause in effect for hot mix asphalt mixtures. Bids are to include base price of liquid asphalt and diesel and must be OSHA 10 certified. Class of work is Pavement - Surfacing, Project value $95,000.00. Project to be completed per current Mass DOT specifications. Project is to be bid as one package. Prevailing wage applies as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27F and a wage schedule is included in the specifications. A 100% performance bond is required of successful bidder, 5% bond required with bid.
