Site work for a mixed-use development in Madison, Wisconsin. Design plans call for site work for a medical facility; and water / sewer project.
As of December 13, 2023, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the early design phase. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is expected to start August 2025 and end December 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: This project replaces, relocates, and/or constructs new steam, chilled water, electric, and domestic water utilities at the Mendota Mental Health Institute. Storm water utilities will be improved if needed to properly drain new and existing utility corridors. The utility work will be completed with multiple bid packages. This approach will allow the design team and the subsequent contractors to complete the highest priority work first. Priority will be based on DHS needs, consultant’s recommendations, and available budget. Bid packages that follow will stagger the work so that utility and traffic interruptions at the patient care buildings are minimized. It is also the sole responsibility of the submitting A/E firm to ask for clarification of meaning or intent of any of the documents or requirements up to a period of 5 business days prior to the submittal deadline, to allow for a reasonable time to research a response, if necessary, and respond to the A/E firm prior to the submittal deadline.
