Renovation of a municipal facility in Penticton, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Penticton is seeking Proposals from qualified suppliers to design, supply and install an automatic entry/exit gate system for the City Yards Facility located at 616 Okanagan Avenue, Penticton BC. The intention of this project is to remove and dispose of the existing gate system and replace with a robust automatic gate system with RFID capability for City owned vehicles, remote ability to open the gate when required to allow access to authorized visitors and provide enhanced security to the Yards. The existing gate is a LiftMaster Model SL585 Heavy Duty Slide Gate with an opening of approximately 52 feet. The Successful Respondent will be responsible remove and dispose of existing gate system, design, supply, including delivery and off-loading, and install new gate system (the “Gate”) complete with automatic openers with the following general specifications: 1. Remove and dispose of the existing gate system; 2. Design and supply of an automatic entry/exit Gate; 3. Unloading and installation of new Gate; 4. Testing and commissioning of new Gate; and 5. Training staff on use of the new Gate. The Gate should meet the following minimum requirements: 1. Gate must be sliding; 2. Commercial grade reliability and durability; 3. Must be programmable to open and close at set times; 4. Must include battery backup; 5. Must have reflective tape; 6. Powder coated; 7. Secure and tamper-proof; 8. Able to handle heavy traffic flow; 9. Equipped with safety features to prevent accidents; 10. Operation Manual must be provided; and 11. Must meet all applicable CSA standards.
