Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Penticton, British Columbia. Design plans call for the construction of a 23,000-square-foot, six-story above grade, 43-unit multi-residential development; and four-story above grade multi-residential development.
Development opportunities for 2509 South Main Street in an effort to move the site closer to shovel ready for new Affordable Housing in Penticton. The City is interested in preliminary development concepts which contemplate a low-density townhouse scheme as well as a 4 to 6 storey apartment scheme. After the road dedication requirements for the new roundabout, the site will consist of approximately 23,000 ft2 and abuts the Columbus Park Family Housing site located at 2575 South Main Street which is operated by the South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS). The Columbus Park Family Housing complex is comprised of clustered townhomes (43 units) for low-income families and totals approximately 2.65 acres in size. TIMELINE: Project is awaiting a capital grant. Project is still in the predevelopment stage at this time. A request for proposal was previously issued for a firm to provide early design concepts prepared as part of the RFP to support a zoning amendment application for the property in due course. Architectural services are to explore development opportunities for Affordable Housing in Penticton. The project is dependent on funding. Further update in early 2026, upon approvals.
