Renovation of an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This RFP is seeking Construction Management firms (Proponents) with a successful track record of providing Construction Management services for ANSO Complex Renewal project. The ANSO Renewal scope will include, but not be limited to, the following: Building code and life safety upgrades; new fire alarm and sprinkler systems, new mechanical and electrical systems; Hazardous materials abatement; Demolition of interior partitions, interior finishes, exterior envelope, roof buildup, existing mechanical and electrical systems, and select concrete elements; The addition of a new elevator, and replacement (or refurbishment) of the current elevator; Seismic upgrades to foundations, shear walls, and other structural elements; The addition of a new exterior substation and generator; Site works to support the renewal, such as civil works, landscaping, and bicycle infrastructure. An existing lift station located in the ANSO building serves several other sites. Temporary works will be required to support existing tie-ins to adjacent buildings (maintained in place over the course of the renewal), both for this lift station, and the proposed substation; Building envelope upgrades; new windows and cladding at all elevations; additional insulation at existing walls, and new roofs; New mechanical equipment and enclosures to be located on the roof at several locations, with additional equipment proposed within the basements of two wings; replacement of mechanical and electrical systems with energy efficient systems - all mechanical and electrical systems throughout the ANSO building will be completely replaced. Reconfiguration of existing program spaces including washrooms, classrooms, labs and service spaces, and other department spaces; Replacement of all interior finishes including walls, ceilings, flooring, paint, millwork, and plumbing fixtures and fittings; New interior wayfinding and signage. Public Realm scope includes: Sitework and landscaping at the building perimeter, tree removal, remediation of areas disturbed during construction, improvements to existing rooftop garden area, enclosed bicycle parking; existing building service connection improvements; improved garbage, recycling and loading areas at the building rear with minor roadway access modifications from the existing parking lot.
