Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Contractor must be PennDOT prequalified and will be required to comply with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act in providing equal employment opportunities in connection with all work. The Borough reserves the right to reject any Bids or waive any irregularities. Bids may be held for 90 days after opening; however, awarding of the contract to the lowest responsible bidder may be delayed 120 days in order to obtain required approval of other government agencies or closing on project funding loans. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond equal to 100% of the Contract price. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the West Hazleton Borough or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. Work to be completed on or before June 1, 2024. After June 1, 2024, liquidated damages apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. BMS NO. 40 7428 0000 0001
