The Moraga-Orinda Fire Protection District (MOFD) is soliciting proposals from a qualified contractor to design, deliver, and install Fire Station Alerting Systems. Statement of Work Design Build Guidance Criteria 1. PROJECT IDENTIFICATION 1.1. Project: Fire Station Alerting Systems 1.2. Locations: 1.2.1. MOFD Station 41 - 1284 Moraga Way, Moraga CA 94556 1.2.2. MOFD Station 42 - 555 Moraga Rd., Moraga CA 94556 1.2.3. MOFD Station 43 - 20 Vial Las Cruces, Orinda CA 94563 1.2.4. MOFD Station 44 - 195 Orchard Rd., Orinda CA 94563 1.2.5. MOFD Station 45 - 33 Orinda Way, Orinda CA 94563 2. BACKGROUND Objective. The Moraga Orinda Fire Protection District (MOFD) is seeking professional services for turnkey Fire Station Alerting Systems for five (5) fire stations that provides both station and over the air alerting. MOFD seeks to install the Phoenix G2 Alerting System or equivalent product. The system shall interface with the Agency's existing CAD and radio systems, and will communicate using TCP/IP over the WAN. The desired System allows the stacking and simultaneous alerting of response units, speeding up deployment of the first responders. This project shall be completed in a manner commensurate with the intended application. The contractor shall perform all professional services as necessary to provide MOFD with a complete design package including the requirements outlined in this Statement of Work. The contractor shall install the project such that it is operational and compliant with all applicable standards, building codes, and DISPATCH interconnection requirements. Dispatch services are currently provided by Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (CCCFPD) and shall function and operate seamlessly with all existing technological standards. The contractor shall include specifications, and drawings in the design package, and turn it over to MOFD. After approval by MOFD of the final design package, the contractor shall provide all necessary construction to successfully complete the installation. 3. SCOPE APPLICABLE STANDARDS AND PUBLICATIONS. The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, station installation and supervision to provide a turnkey fire station alerting system. All applicable national, state and local electrical and/or building codes shall be followed. The System shall be compliant with the 2013 edition of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 1221 and 1710, as applicable. Bids will be accepted at jlee@mofd.org. Bids must be received no later than September 10, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit bids in advance of the due date to avoid possibility of missing the deadline due to unforeseen circumstances. MOFD assumes no responsibility for delays caused by technology. Additional time may be granted to all vendors when MOFD determines that circumstances require it.
