Reference Number 0000254279 Flushing and CCTV services for sanitary sewers in the Almonte Ward of Mississippi Mills for the period of 2023 through 2026. One quadrant of the ward is inspected annually. Provisional to this project is the flushing and CCTV of stormwater sewers in the Almonte Ward and villages that include Pakenham, Blakeney, and Appleton. The sanitary and storm sewers (storm sewers are a provisional scope item) shall be cleaned between consecutive manholes from the downstream manhole to the upstream manhole, and then, from the upstream manhole to the downstream manhole. The cover from the upstream manhole shall be removed by the cleaning crew to observe that this point has been reached. The equipment shall be capable of removing dirt, grease, rocks, sand and other materials and minor obstructions. Should an obstruction occur, attempts shall be made to clear it from both sides, up to three (3) passes. It is agreed by the parties in the contract that in case all work called for under the Contract is not finished or completed within the date as set forth in the Special Provisions, damage will be sustained by the Corporation and that it is said will be impracticable and extremely difficult to ascertain and determine the actual damage which the Corporation will sustain in the event of and by any reason of such delay and the parties here to agree that the Contractor will pay to the "Corporation" the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for liquidated damages for each and every calendar days delay in finishing the work beyond the noted completion date, except Saturdays, Sundays and Statutory holidays, and it is agreed that this amount is an estimate of the actual damage to the Corporation which will accrue during the period in excess of the prescribed completion date.
