Renovation of a municipal facility in Frederick, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project description: Remove and replace the existing roofing system(s), metal flashings and roof metal at perimeter terminations at the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), Building 1054, Fort Detrick, Maryland, in accordance with all Federal, State, and Installation codes and laws, to include preparation of a design as discussed below. Base Bid shall be based on installation of a Two-Ply Cold Adhesive Applied Modified Bitumen Roofing System. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, UFC 1-200-02, UFC 3-110-03, Roofing, Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) 07 52 00, ER 1110-345-700, and this Scope of Work (SOW). Project submittals shall include roof survey, core testing and evaluation documentation, design documentation, product data, shop drawings and warranties in compliance with UFC, UFGS, ER 1110-345-700 and this SOW. The definition of roof replacement shall be in accord with the definition in UFC 3-110-03 Section 6-2.1. Contractor shall submit name and qualifications of the Registered Roofing Consultant and/or Qualified Roofing Professional as defined in UFC 3-110-03 Section 1-8.11 with their bid, along with 3 references of roofing installations for each roofing system identified herein.
