Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Medina, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of the removal of the existing corrugated sectional plate arch culvert on Medina Street and the installation of a new four-sided pre-cast box culvert. Please note, there are certain time restrictions in place with this project related to the existing gas main replacement associated with this project. Below please find a general summary of items that are included as a part of the Base Bid for this project: 1. Maintenance of traffic during construction; local access maintained. 2. Removal of the existing corrugated sectional plate arch culvert, concrete floor, headwalls and railing. 3. Installation of all necessary temporary shoring and cofferdams to complete culvert replacement. 4. Installation of a pre-cast reinforced 4-sided box culvert with type 2 and 3 waterproofing. 5. The removal of the existing asphalt pavement and replacement with reinforced concrete pavement within the culvert replacement area including integral curbs. 6. Removal of existing asphalt drive apron and replaced with fiber reinforced concrete pavement. 7. Installation of asphalt transition pavement. 8. Installation of new reinforced concrete headwalls, wing walls and decorative railings. 9. Installation of new storm sewer. 10. Installation of new water main and casing pipe within culvert limits. 11. Installation of new pavement curb drain. 12. Installation of rock channel protection, type B. 13. Coordination of gas main installation with Columbia Gas. 14. Final grading, topsoil placement, and seeding of all areas within the construction limits. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check, or a bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total amount bid, made payable to the City of Medina, Ohio as guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the City within thirty (30) days and its performance secured by a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, and in default thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the City of Medina as liquidated damages. In addition, each bid must be accompanied by a noncollusion affidavit. The final completion date for the project is July 15, 2026. The Engineer's estimate is $655,128.00 for the Base Bid. The City of Medina reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
