All bid proposals must be sealed and labeled, "Bid Proposal: Carpet Replacement." The bid will be awarded on the basis of the lowest qualified bid price or the lowest evaluated or responsive bid price. The Town of Exeter reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any parts thereof, to waive any informalities and/or technicalities in same, or to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town, whether or not it is the lowest bid. The Town of Exeter seeks to engage a carpet or flooring specialist to replace approximately 6,000 square feet of carpet throughout the library building. The new carpet must offer exceptional durability, able to withstand heavy foot traffic and retain color and attractive appearance in the long term. The contractor may offer multiple product options as part of their bid. The Town will decide on the color and product package that best suits the library's needs. o Remove existing carpet and affected wall base and transitions throughout the building o Completely prepare the floor for installation of new carpet o Provide and install new carpet, wall base and transitions in accordance with manufacturer specifications Project to be completed as soon as possible. o No painting or wall work o All work to be performed during regular work hours o Free on-site parking o No demo expected o Waste and debris from the project, including old carpet, wall base and transitions, must be completely removed Cover Letter - Provide a letter of interest and summary of qualifications Company Information - Provide a brief description of your firm, including names, contact information and roles and responsibilities toward the project Scope of Work - Provide a detailed scope of work based on the project description above, including product specifications Proposed Schedule - Provide a schedule for beginning and completing the project Project Budget- Provide a budget and structure of payments References - Provide references of individuals or entities for whom your firm has completed similar projects in the last 10 years. 1.
