The scope of work for this project generally includes, but is not limited to, cold mill and asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM) overlay with select full depth dig-outs; remove and reconstruct curb ramps, sidewalk, curb, curb and gutter, and cross-gutters; remove and replace trees; and all related work thereto. All sidewalk and access ramp removals shall be replaced within 48 hours. Traffic control plans are required as part of this project to maintain uninterrupted safe vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the work areas. License requirement is a valid State of California Contractors License Class "A". Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Hermosa Beach, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid submitted. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price in the attached forms satisfactory to the City Attorney The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received.
