Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Hermosa Beach, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project includes, but is not limited to, renovating the existing pickleball, tennis and basketball courts, collectively identified as Kelly Courts. The project involves demolishing and replacing existing structures such as perimeter walls, fencing, lighting, court surfaces, and play equipment. New construction will include curb walls, concrete slabs, sidewalks, asphalt pavement, court resurfacing, and the installation of modern fencing, lighting, electrical systems, and play equipment; and other related work to complete the work per project's plans and specifications at the Kelly Courts, located at 861 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Hermosa Beach, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid submitted. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, and a warranty bond all in the attached form satisfactory to the City Attorney. The duration of the project is 40 working days. The engineer's cost estimate for the project is $795,155. License requirement is a valid State of California Contractors License Class "A" license. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
