As of March 5, 2025, this project is in the design phase but is on hold. Construction is expected to begin towards the end of 2026. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering and associated work to produce complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E)Package for the Cornet Bay Dock Replacement. The design will include the removal of the original dock, removal of the creosote pilings, salvage and reuse of the catwalk and gangway if practical, new dock and piling design. The existing footprint consists of a 50 foot catwalk,35 foot gangway, and 575foot dock consisting of timber decking 6-7 feet wide. Major features of the project are as follows: Removal and disposal of existing dock and creosote pilings Salvage and reuse of existing aluminum catwalk and gangway Floating dock designed to accommodate public moorage (non-commercial) Piling design Float stop designs to prevent float grounding(approximately first 250feet) Survey and/or Bathymetry as appropriate Performance of soil exploration and analysis as appropriate Development of environmental mitigation strategies as appropriate Estimate project cost and construction schedule Compliance with County/State/Federal requirements The AGENCY reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases(PERMITTING, CN) associated with this project.
