Site work and paving for a road / highway in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, and installing complete in place pavement markers, reflectorized white and yellow traffic pavement striping and other markings in conformance to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, 2003 Edition (MUTCD), the Traffic Standards Manual of the Department of Transportation Services, July 1976 and these plans and specifications. This work shall also include the removing of existing pavement markers and removing or eradicating existing pavement striping and markings when called for in the plans and/or ordered by the Manager. The Contractor shall be responsible for field verifying all existing striping, pavement markings, and pavement markers and bringing any discrepancies to the Managers attention. The Contractor shall restore all striping, pavement markings, and pavement markers as shown on the plans upon resurfacing the roadway. This is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Price Schedule contract for asphaltic concrete pavement repair work at various locations (State of Hawaii (State) roadways), on an as-needed basis as directed by the Board of Water Supply (BWS). The exact quantities and locations of the asphaltic concrete repair work under this contract are not known at this time but will be determined and provided to the awarded Contractor by the BWS through individual job work orders. The term of the contract shall be for a twelve (12) month period from the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed that is issued by the Officer in Charge. This contract shall cover paving restoration and construction required for areas within State roadways. Work may include restoration of asphaltic concrete pavement, concrete driveways, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and the replacement of striping, markers and traffic control devices damaged by installation or repair of water system pipes or appurtenances, or as otherwise requested. Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and county rules and regulations including Best Management Practices (BMP) requirements. Some overlap work into City and County of Honolulu (CCH) Rights-of-Way properties (streets and sidewalks) may be encountered as incidental work that cannot be avoided when repairing roads and sidewalks which are right adjacent to work areas. Failure to provide all required documents may be deemed non-responsive and rejection of a bid. Bidder is advised to print out a copy of this Solicitation, including project scope of work documents, for its use at the pre-bid conference. No copies of the project scope of work documents will be available at the pre-bid conference. Questions, regarding the scope of work or project schedule, may arise at the pre-bid conference, from project site visit(s), or at any time prior to the close of bids. Bidders shall submit questions or clarification requests in writing to the Contact Person listed in the solicitation. plans, specifications, and CDs to awarded Contractors. Contractors may order hard copies of plans and specifications directly from Arc Document Solutions, LLC, 680 Queen Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, telephone (808) 536-6148, the Board of Water Supply contracted printing vendor, at their own expense. The Board of Water Supply reserves the right to purchase larger or smaller quantities at the prices quoted in this solicitation. In the event the actual requirements are less than estimated, such failure shall not constitute grounds for adjustment under this contract. Question Deadline 09/01/2023
