MoPac East-Lied Platte River Bridge Trail Connection Study in Cass County, Nebraska The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District is seeking qualifications of professional services to evaluate MoPac East Trail Connection route options between point A (Elmwood & Wabash) and point B (Lied Platte River Bridge Trailhead). The District seeks trail alignments that utilizes existing public right-of-way to the extent that is reasonable from a design and funding standpoint, are developed public involvement as a necessity throughout the evaluation, is sensitive to impacts on adjoining properties and residents, provides a safe corridor for trail users, and encourages the development of regional economic opportunities. Qualifications should identify the personnel within the firm who would work on this study, their experience trail planning and trail development, and their experience with community/stakeholder engagement and public outreach. The District anticipates entering into a contract for the project on October 18, 2023
