The City is seeking qualified firms to implement an AMI system, to include equipment and labor for installation (water and electric meters, network, software, and installation services); and a portal that will allow customers to view their usage and pay bills online. The AMI system and customer portal will serve approximately 80,000 residents with City of Gastonia water and/or electric service. The AMI system will include the replacement of approximately 38,000 water and 32,000 electric meters.
