Saving Project...

Renovation of a conference / convention center in Columbus, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.

As of May 18, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The FMC Zone A Air Handler Replacement project is aimed at modernizing and optimizing our facility to ensure a healthier, safer, and more sustainable environment. This project encompasses several vital components. First, the replacement of seven aging air handlers, which have been in service for over three decades, is a key goal. This replacement aims to yield benefits such as enhanced energy efficiency, improved indoor air quality, and decreased maintenance expenses. Additionally, there is a focus on infection control measures involving the integration of HEPA filters and ionization technology into all new air handling units. This initiative seeks to counteract the dissemination of infectious diseases and allergens within the facility, thereby promoting the well-being of occupants. Furthermore, this project involves the installation of water softeners. This installation is intended to safeguard plumbing and equipment against the detrimental impacts of hard water. The benefits encompass an extended lifespan for appliances and plumbing fixtures, lowered maintenance costs, and an overall improvement in water quality. Lastly, the project undertakes the assessment of the methane pump system. The primary objective is to evaluate the system's condition and performance. To bolster efficiency and safety, the methane pump system will be integrated into the existing Building Automation System (BAS) to enable real-time monitoring and alerts. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements and clarify the program of requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth& Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Nichole Burns at drc.camsrfq@odrc.state.oh.us with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please). Questions will be answered and posted to the Opportunities page on the OFCC website on a regular basis until one week before the response deadline.
