The City of Manor is requesting Requests for Proposals (RFP) with the intent of awarding a contract for the purchase of services . A summary of currently identified issues that the Downtown Strategic Plan should address is below. Need for a unified vision for downtown: what, how, and how much Revitalization of the downtown core along Lexington Street, Parsons Street and adjacent neighborhoods; Connectivity to US 290, FM973, Parmer Lane and internal connections to increase multimodal options within the Downtown core; Mass transit options and maximizing existing and future system efficiencies with emphasis given to the existing Green Line Corridor Plan Transit-Oriented Development Study and its relevance; Walkability and connectivity strategy from existing uses to adjacent new development; Identification of existing, short-, medium-, long-term parking needs; Roadway improvements and / future streetscape design and needs; Stormwater management, water, wastewater and other infrastructure necessities; Economic development including a strategy to expand commercial buildings and improve public spaces downtown; rehabilitation of existing structures; Improved traffic, pedestrian and life safety; Wayfinding/signage/utilization of new City branding or independent identity
