Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The improvement includes excavation and grading, dewatering, compacted clay pond liner, water control structure, modification to outlet structure, new water quality pretreatment unit, new Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk, limestone outcropping, pond habitat improvement, revetment, erosion controls, temporary site seeding and mulching, traffic control, and associated work including cleanup and restoration, all in accordance with the contract documents, including Plan File No. 655-172/193, located in Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Ave, Des Moines, Iowa This project shall be fully completed not later than June 28, 2024, and in accordance with the Completion Provisions. Engineer's Construction Estimate. $850,000.00 Sales Tax. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. A sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all material purchased for incorporation in the project. The City of Des Moines (Jurisdiction) reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. Preference for Iowa Products and Labor. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes.
