Safety and Security Upgrade for North Wauchula Elementary School. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and shall be written on the form of Bid Bond satisfactory to the Board or a Cashier's Check in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid as a guarantee that the Bidder shall, if awarded the contract, enter into a written contract with the Board, satisfactory in form to the Board, containing a liquidated damages clause, requiring Worker's Compensation and Public Liability Insurance as required by the Board. The successful bidder shall give a Performance and Payment Bond satisfactory in form to the Board in the full amount of the Contract price within ten (10) days after acceptance of the bid by the Board. Bidder must be a licensed Florida Contractor ("Contractor") unless otherwise set forth in these bid documents. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to waive any and all irregularities in regard thereto. o Install locking hardware (Ceiling and Floor) on two sets of smoke doors (location 1 and 2 onmap)
o Construct a 12 inch wide (Floor to drop Ceiling) 40ft wall constructed out of 1/2in sheetrock, insulation, metal studs and a set of solid wood 72" x 80" doors with hardware and no center post. Walls are to be finished and painted (Location 4 on map)
o Installation of sound proofing (Insulation)in media center new wall.
o Remove and Replace south set of media centers double doors. Replace hollow core with solid wood doors. (Location 5 on map)
o Construct a wall (Floor to drop Ceiling)(Location 3 on map) with set of 72 x 80 solid wood double doors with hardware.Adder: (Bid separately) Relocate rod iron security fence in front of school)
o Construct an 8'x 8' room, 1/2 " Sheetrock, metal studs, 36"x 80" solid wood door with hardware, inside room 115. location on map. (Location 6 on the map) Bid Result.
