For furnishing all labor and material and performing all work necessary for the Removal and Replacement of Water Cooled Chiller, and two Air Handing Units at Hardee Senior High School, 830 Altman Rd. Wauchula, Fl. 33873. Scope of Work with Specifications and Price Bid Sheets of three Bids, 1- HSH replace of chiller, 2 AHU'S, 2 Chill water Pumps, Check valves & Y Strainers and Upgrade Controls; 2-HSH Bldg 1400 Replace HVAC System & Upgrade Controls; 3- WES Cafeteria ,Replace AHU #2 and Upgrade Controls. Scope of Work with Specifications, Price Bid Sheets and Fact Sheet #66: Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) handed out to Bidders. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and shall be written on the form of Bid Bond satisfactory to the Board or a Cashiers Check in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid as a guarantee that the Bidder shall, if awarded the contract, enter into a written contract with the Board, satisfactory in form to the Board, containing a liquidated damages clause, requiring Workers Compensation and Public Liability Insurance as required by the Board. The successful bidder shall give a Performance and Payment Bond satisfactory in form to the Board in the full amount of the Contract price within ten (10) days after acceptance of the bid by the Board. Bidder must be a licensed Florida Contractor (Contractor) unless otherwise set forth in these bid documents. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to waive any and all irregularities in regard thereto. Unsealed bids, e.g., fax transmissions, will not be accepted. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days. All bidding contractors shall attend the pre-bid conference in order to have a valid bid proposal considered for this project. Bid Proposals from Contractors not in attendance of the mandatory pre-bid conference will be considered unresponsive. Bid tabulations with recommended awards shall be posted for review by interested parties at the Hardee County School Board office and web site, www.hardee.k12.fl.us. Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed by Section 120.53(5), Florida Statutes, shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes. The Hardee County School District (District) shall have the option of using the Districts purchasing card (from Bank of America) to make purchases, partial payments and/or draws under the contract or purchase order. The Districts purchasing card is similar to a credit card in that there will be a small fee which the contractor will be required to pay and the contractor will receive payment directly from the card issuer rather than the District. Any and all fees related to this type of payment are the responsibility of the contractor. In no case will the District allow increases in prices to offset credit card fees paid by the contractor or any other charges incurred by the contractor, unless specifically stated in the terms of the contract or purchase order. Payment through the District purchasing card is a method of payment, not a method of contract award. Procedural requirements for awards of contracts and orders must still be followed. Chiller o Disconnect all existing electrical, control wiring, and chilled water piping o Remove and dispose of existing chiller o Provide and install new 200 ton water cooled screw chiller 460V/3Ph/60Hz single point circuit breaker w/lockable handle 2 pass condenser and evaporator with compact water boxes 1-1/2" insulation evaporator Flow switch evaporator and condenser Condenser isolation valves Vibration Isolators - elastomeric pads o Connect all chilled water piping o Insulate new piping with 3" thick foam glass insulation o Reconnect existing power, reusing breakers, conduit, and wiring were applicable o Reconnect controls o Complete start-up and verification that equipment and controls are operating properly Air Handling Units o Disconnect all existing electrical, control wiring, and chilled water piping. o Remove and dispose of existing chilled water AHU's o Provide and install two new AHU's Galvanized Construction - mixing box section with opposed blade dampers Flat filter section for 2" pleated filters Vertical cooling coil section with copper tubes aluminum fins Fan section DWDI (20HP AHU-2: 5HP AHU-3) Factory installed VFD o Connect all chilled water piping o Provide and install new isolation valves, gauges, thermometers, strainer, balancing valve, air bleeder, condensate drain line w/traps, and a new electronic control valve. o Insulate new chilled water piping with 2" thick foam glass insulation o Reconnect to existing ductwork, modify as necessary and re-insulate o Reconnect existing power, reusing breakers, conduit, and wiring where applicable Chilled Water Pumps o Provide and Install two new chilled water pumps, check valves, and Y strainers o Provide and install a new Speed Drive on pump #2 o Reinsulate o Check pumps, valves and strainers for proper function Controls o Provide and install new FX field controller, sensors, relays, and panel o Connect new controller to existing Jace, relink all graphics and schedule to create alarming and trending points o Complete start-up and verification that equipment and controls are operating properly
