As of November 14,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Work of the Montevue Campus Refueling Station project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to the installation, maintenance and removal of sediment control measures, unclassified earthwork, installation of stormwater management and other water treatment systems, installation of new electrical service, installation of two above-ground tanks (15,000 gallons each) and eight fuel pumps to dispense diesel and gasoline at a canopy-covered station, fuel delivery and tank monitoring systems, and installation of a generator that will ensure uninterrupted power to the Refueling Station and the adjacent Bourne Building. Work also includes the demolition, removal and disposal of existing below-ground fuel tanks and associated components located at the adjacent Fleet Services / Highway Operations site (331 Montevue Lane), including backfilling and paving operations necessary to match adjacent site conditions. Work in this area may only occur after the new refueling station is fully functional. Frederick County will obtain the required construction permits for the project. It shall be the successful contractor's responsibility to provide all other applicable permits. This project will be bid unclassified and no blasting is to be utilized on this site. Work noted on the plan set associated with the adjacent Warehouse Facility will not be included in this project.
