New construction of a municipal facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Completed plans call for the construction of a 32,000-square-foot municipal facility.
As of October 30, 2025, this project has started construction. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The CMAR will be responsible for managing the construction budget and to construct the project in its entirety, however sequenced construction and detailed implementation plans will be required to identify phases of the project construction. Constraints on construction scheduling may include, but are not necessarily limited to, permitting schedules, existing utility relocations, CAP water delivery schedules, maintenance of existing traffic, relocation of an existing building, incorporation of exhibits in building structure, and/or limited working space within the existing O&M road. Ongoing coordination will be required with several regional agencies including, but not limited to, Central Arizona Project (CAP), Arizona Public Service (APS), City of Phoenix, Maricopa County, and Deer Valley Airport. The project will include the supply of all materials, equipment, and labor for installation acceptance testing, commissioning, and warranty. The CMAR Team will control the costs and will be responsible for the project schedule. CAWCD anticipates a start date for design and pre-construction activities starting on about December 2023, and an anticipated start date for construction activities in early 2025.
