This is a Sources Sought Announcement, a Market Survey for Written Information Only to Identify Potential Offerors That Can Provide a New in-building System Interface Panel and Antenna That is Compatible With the Existing Base Federal Signal Wide-area Mass Notification System to Allow for Communication for the Design Build Construction Project B2480 Renovation at Ns Mayport, Fl. This is Not a Request for Proposals or an Invitation for Bid. No Contract Will Be Awarded From This Announcement. No Reimbursement Will Be Made for Any Costs Associated With Providing Information in Response to This Announcement or Any Follow-up Information Requests. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation currently available. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Government intends to include a new in-building system interface panel and antenna that is compatible with the existing base Federal Signal wide-area mass notification system to allow for communication within the specifications for the subject construction project. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to sole source to Federal Signal Corporation based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to restrict competition to a particular manufacturer. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of qualified and interested parties that can provide a mass notification system package that will be fully compatible and integrate with the existing base-wide system. Project Description: Provide a new in-building system interface panel and antenna that is compatible with the existing base Federal Signal wide-area mass notification system to allow for B2480 communication at NS Mayport, FL. These integrated systems will be capable of notifying building occupants by means of tones, strobes, text messaging, pre-recorded, and live voice announcements from a central control location on the installation to the in-building mass notification system. The new package shall include at a minimum the following: UVIC-B controller/VHF radio Antenna, cable, and mounting brackets Digital voice recordings Software, programming, & commissioning The subject construction contract will be firm-fixed price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with the annual size standard of $39.5 million. Project Magnitude for the portion of the proprietary specifications is less than $25,000. Under the FAR guidelines, the prime contractor must have the capability to perform at least 20 percent of the contract work with its own employees. The anticipated award date of the construction contract is First Quarter FY 2024. Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement.
