Delco Green Ways 'Mini' Grant - Eddystone Borough Mini Municipal Parks, Recreation & Open Space Plan. Eddystone Borough is hereby seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to develop a comprehensive plan for all Borough owned park lands, conservation areas and trial connections. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions including Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The Contractor who has been successfully awarded the contract shall complete work within sixty (60) days from the Notice to Proceed. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Eddystone Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. This project will include a community planning process for a Comprehensive Plan to help us envision how to make the best use of Borough owned properties, parks, waterfront areas and open space parcels. The resulting plan should be a community-supported vision for the future that reflects the Boroughs unique feel and civic value and presents a clear and realistic path forward for its transformation. Goals for the comprehensive plan include, but are not limited: Providing parks with safe and fully accessible connection to adjacent neighborhoods, Creation of more useable recreational space for sports fields and playground equipment, Incorporate installation of native planting, tree canopy, stormwater management facilities and best management practices, Improve pedestrian accessibility and bicycle access to parks and playgrounds, Seek ways to make parks safer and more usable for spectators at sports fields, Evaluate playground and park usage and how it could possibly be reconfigured and improved, Consider other recreational uses for parks and waterfront areas, Consider how the edges of the park could be utilized and offer additional amenities, Preparing high-level cost estimates and phasing options.
