This project will generally consist of interior building renovations including selective demolition, interior opening alterations, replacement of existing lighting, replacement of carpeting, painting and relocation of electrical wiring devices. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to East Greenville Borough. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and posted electronically. Notification will be emailed to all parties recorded as having received the bidding documents. Questions received less than six days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda may also be issued to modify the Bidding Documents or Contract Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Engineer.
