Site work for a road / highway in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The Leavenworth County Department of Public Works is Requesting Bids for "Erosion Repairs and Permanent Seeding, 158th Street, K-32 Highway to Kansas Avenue." The work consists of performing erosion repair and finish grading of a portion of the right-of-way that failed to grow turf. The contractor shall repair areas, apply fertilizer, and place permanent seeding as identified on the following plan sheet. All seeding shall be completed with drill equipment and disturbance of existing vegetation and soils shall be maintained to a minimum to repair eroded areas, finish grade, and apply seed. No broadcast of seed shall be allowed on the project. Not all areas of the work that require reseeding will require erosion repair. The original project corridor included 7.4 acres of permanent seeding. Public Works staff estimates that approximately 15% of the area will require erosion repair and topsoil addition and 30% of the original project area will require fertilizer and permanent seed drilled. Please be advised that the work is "spot repair" in nature and does not allow for permanent seeding of the full project corridor. Bare areas that are over seeded shall be adequately mulched. All seeded areas shall receive fertilizer. Erosion repair areas shall be mulched. All work and materials specifications shall comply with the State of Kansas Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition. Questions regarding the RFB work and specifications should be addressed to Joe McAfee at 913-684-0471 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work consists of performing erosion repair and finish grading of a portion of the right-of-way that failed to grow turf.
