PN_ 02372-0004 Reference Number 0000328847 This project entails traffic signal installation at the intersection of Highways 6 and 13 with Whiteriver Avenue. Project includes new concrete sidewalk along 1St Street, East Avenue and Whiteriver Avenue, full depth asphalt removal within the intersection being replaced with concrete pavement, installation of new traffic signal, demolition, and export of materials in the project boundary. Traffic control will be the responsibility of the contractor. Traffic control plans will be required for submittal and approval. The contractor will be required to submit a phasing plan and work with the City and the Project Engineer to determine a plan with the least impact to businesses in the downtown area. Access to businesses shall remain open for the duration of the project. Public Notification will be handled by the City of Rifle, but the awarded contractor should expect to be present in meetings with business owners to communicate the phasing plan prior to beginning work.
