**As of December 4 ,2023 project was awarded to Southern Fiber Company d/b/a Southern Utility Group, awarded amount is $898,262.04.** The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Wayside Underground Electric Project for the Lawrenceville Electric Department Question Deadline 09/19/2023 at 3:00 PM ET Questions regarding bids should be submitted to Steve Murray, Purchasing Director, via email at steve.murray@lawrencevillega.org . Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. Work will consist of replacing approximately 12,500 ft. of underground primary, 26 pad-mount transformers and 26 pads. All underground primary will be installed next to the existing line. The existing line will be left abandoned, transformers will be terminated to meet ECG Specs. All material shall be moved to the Lawrenceville Public Works facility as part of hardware removal. All materials will be provided by the City of Lawrenceville. The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following: Replacement of all the underground primary conductor, pad-mount transformers and pads. Primary to be pulled through directional bore conduit with limited open trench. Termination of primary elbows and risers on wood poles Installation of secondary voltage hand hole/pedestals and intercepted secondary service wire feeding residential services Replacement of existing town and country style light fixtures Installation of additional town and country light fixtures. Repair /replacement of existing landscaping as disturbed. Installation of secondary lighting conductor as described in the plans. All materials will be provided by the City of Lawrenceville. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the allowable calendar days for completion from the date of the Notice to Proceed. A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All bonds must be submitted on forms provided by the City of Lawrenceville and agencies providing bonds and insurance should provide proof that they meet the criteria outlined in the bid and contract documents.
