The selected firm will be responsible for the following aspects of the selective demolition and structural preservation project: 1. Structural Assessment: Conduct a comprehensive structural assessment of the building, basement, and the common walls adjoining the neighboring structures. 2. Selective Demolition Plan: Develop a detailed plan for the removal of interior elements while preserving the front of the building. Outline methodologies, equipment, safety measures, and procedures for structural safety. 3. Front Façade Preservation: Design strategies for the careful protection and maintenance of the building's front façade, including its architectural elements and features. 4. Structural Integrity: Implement measures to ensure that the retained portion of the building remains structurally sound during and after the demolition process. 5. Public Safety: Implement safety protocols to safeguard pedestrians, neighboring structures, and vehicular traffic in the vicinity of the demolition site. 6. Environmental Compliance: Adhere to all environmental regulations pertaining to waste disposal, dust control, and hazardous materials removal. 7. Site Restoration: Propose plans for debris removal, site clearance, and any necessary restoration of the preserved façade.
