The Town has $75,000 appropriated for this project. If the winning bid exceeds this amount, the Town may seek additional funding at the Fall Town Meeting on October 24, 2023. The Town of Leicester is seeking bids to construct a canopy to be attached to the Town Police Station at 90 South Main Street, Leicester, MA 01524, said canopy to be 104.3 feet long by 26 feet deep, and to have a fire protection system. Construction is to be in accordance with the plans and specifications included in the IFB. This project is to be submitted through the Construction Control process (780 CMR). Each bidder shall enclose with the bid an acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid's value. The Town of Leicester reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding and to make the award as appears to the best interests of the Town. prevailing wage rates and reflect the Town's tax-exempt status. Bids shall be addressed to the Town of Leicester and should be submitted in the form specified, in a sealed envelope endorsed "Bid - Police Station Canopy (Town of Leicester)" with the bidder's name and address.
