Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Napa, California. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Milliken Raw Water Pipeline consists of approximately 6,500 LF of 16" welded steel pipe, most of which is above ground and supported by redwood saddles. The pipeline runs adjacent to Milliken Creek on an unpaved trail with steep grades on either side, roughly half its length accessible by foot or ATV sized vehicles only. It is used to convey raw, untreated water from a diversion dam to the Milliken Water Treatment Plant. The Atlas Fire in 2017 damaged the pipeline (since repaired) and damaged the trail, including a 263-ft wooden ATV access way. The goal of the Project is to repair the damages to the trail (primarily retaining walls) and replace the ATV access way with a 263-ft steel ATV access way, while also replacing the 348 feet of existing pipeline beside it. The project also includes installation of a 39-ft steel bridge and a 75-ft steel walkway. Portions of this project are FEMA-funded, as indicated on the Bid Schedule. The Project must be fully completed within 126 working days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about January 9, 2024, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding.
