2023 Reedsburg WWTF Clearing and Grubbing The Contract consists of nineteen (19) acres of clearing and grubbing. The quantities are subject to change without notice prior to document distribution. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Reedsburg within the last year or must be pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must be experienced in municipal pipeline construction. The City of Reedsburg reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), minority business enterprises (MBE), and women business enterprises (WBE) are encouraged to apply. Goals for minority and female participation specified. Federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements mentioned. Award of the contract will be subject to the Federal government's policy of good faith effort for increased use of DBE businesses. The successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and sub-contractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part with federal funds in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area, per the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division May 29, 2009 Guidance.
