The Scope of work to include the following: the contractor will be responsible for demolishing existing play structures, PIP matting, and basketball hoops, followed by the Installation of pentagon-shaped play matting tiles. The contractor must possess a Sofsurfaces certification and coordinate onsite tile delivery. Procurement of the play matting tiling is by others. Safety measures include establishing fenced zones during construction and ensuring the site's cleanliness after project completion. All stored materials must be placed within a fenced area. A dumpster will be needed for a week during the Kaboom Build (typically 7 calendar days), and exact timelines will be discussed with OUSD. The project also entails wall prep for murals and setting up an irrigation and draining system for a recreational area or garden area. Post-work inspections will be coordinated with a firm, provided by OUSD. Bids must be accompanied by a bidders bond, cashiers check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid and made payable to the Owner, as detailed in the Contract Documents. Pursuant to the Contract Documents, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum.
