Site work for a water / sewer project in Saline, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Rehabilitation will commence in three (3) phases for approximately a two (2 ) mile trunkline and tributary that runs north of Millpond, beneath Millpond, and through Curtiss Park. The 2019 asset management plan identified 10,000 linear feet of sewer that needs upsizing. The first phase of this project includes the upsizing of approximately 5,000 linear feet on the southern most portion of the existing westbelt trunkline. Phase 1 will complete the trunkline beneath West Michigan Avenue between Austin Road, down through Curtiss Park to Monroe Street. As of October 2`, 2025, this project is in the early conceptual phase. The city is in the process of determining the scope of the project. A design firm has not been selected as of yet. A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed.
