Renovation of a stadium in Vernon, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The Kal Tire Place Arena and adjacent North Arena are undergoing upgrades involving the installation of a new energy system to recover waste heat from the ice plant and use to offset local thermal loads. The energy recovery system consists of an ammonia desuperheater that will provide preheated potable water to the domestic hot water systems of both arenas, as well as an ammonia plate & frame energy recovery condenser that will supply low-temperature (85F) glycol-water to the two dehumidifying ventilation units serving the Kal Tire Place arena (AHU-1&2).
