Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cerritos, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The work consists of replacing the five existing process air compressors (PACs) with four new PACs. The new PACs will be pre-selected APG-Neuros NX700D gearless, high-speed turbo blowers to maximize efficiency and reduce energy costs. The new PACs will be in a new building adjacent to the Stage II PAC Building. The existing Stage I and II PAC buildings and PACs will be demolished. The project will also replace the existing foul air treatment system with a new odor control system, constructed at the current location of the Stage I PAC building, to provide reliable treatment of foul air generated during the wastewater treatment process. The proposed odor control system will consist of bio-trickling filters, carbon scrubbers, belt-driven centrifugal blowers, ducting, and the associated electrical and control systems, and all appurtenant work.
