Renovation of a municipal facility in Sesser, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project consists of removal of existing storefront, storefront entrance, windows, two hollow metal doors & frames. These facade elements will be replaced with new storefront system having 1" insulated glass. Two furnaces, one air conditioner, & three toilet exhaust fans will be removed and replaced. Existing underfloor ductwork will be abandoned in place. New supply & return ductwork will be placed in the attic space, including removal & replacement of lay-in acoustical tile ceiling & grid. Floor tile being removed in Lobby & Police Entrance Vestibule has tested positive for asbestos. Caulking at window to be removed in Garage has tested positive for asbestos. Work in these locations will not require a licensed asbestos abatement contractor. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the following locations: Hurst-Rosche Engineers The successful bidder shall enter into the Project Labor Agreement with the Egyptian Building and Construction Trades Council (EBTC), for all work. The Owner requires the Project to be substantially complete within 120 calendar days following issuance of Notice to Proceed. All requests for interpretations shall be in writing via mail or e-mail addressed to the Architect/Engineer.
