The Work consists of the procurement and installation of all materials and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of approximately 615 vertical feet of 4' diameter manholes located at various locations within the Paducah-McCracken Joint Sewer Agency (JSA) system. The following major Work items are included in the Base Bid: 1. Procurement and installation of all materials and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of approximately 612 vertical feet of 4' diameter manholes. a. Root removal in the walls of sanitary manholes is incidental to the cost of the manhole epoxy coating. b. Manhole coatings shall include the complete internal coverage of the manhole including the bench and flow channel(s). The finished bench and flow channel(s) shall have a smooth surface. c. The base bid assumes the inclusion of up to four (4) 12-ounce tubes of hydrophilic grout for leak stoppage. The use of grout in excess of the base bid must be approved by the owner prior to use. d. Manhole Bench Repair, as identified on the plans, is paid for as a separate bid item. Work includes removal of the existing bench and reconstruction of a new concrete bench paved invert. 2. Bypass pumping as required. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment necessary for completion of the Project, including installation and testing prior to transfer to the District. The Contract Documents are intended to provide the basis for proper completion of the work suitable for the intended use of JSA. Anything not expressly set forth but which is reasonably implied or necessary for proper performance of the Project shall be included.
