Randall Road Guardrail Rehabilitation Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid, payable to the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is provided as prescribed in Section II, Article 7.0, at the time of bid. Contractor's license. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License, prior to submitting a Bid, and a current Alaska Business License prior to award. Bid To Remain Open. The Bidder shall guarantee the Bid for a period of 30 Days from the date of Bid opening. Any component of the Bid including additive alternates may be awarded anytime during the 30 Days. The Juneau Police Department and the City and Borough of Juneau seeks a qualified Contractor to provide all construction as detailed in the attached drawing sheet for a complete new guardrail installation. Replace approximately 575 linear feet of existing guardrail on Randall Road with new Steel Post W31 Guardrail as detailed in Alaska DOT Standard Plan "G05.11S Steel Post W31 Guardrail" except the rails shall be connected directly to the posts without block outs. The contractor shall also provide 20 steel guardrail posts at 8' long to account for the steep slope adjacent to the mailbox at 19025 Randall Road. Provide all necessary traffic control, barriers, barricades and other miscellaneous related materials, equipment and services necessary to provide a complete project. Project Completion. All Work shall be completed by November 3, 2023.
