Reference Number 0000255456 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/09/15 12:00:00 PM CDT Approximately 640 hours of mowing of grade slopes and ditches along various Provincial Waterways and Dikes in East Interlake. The Work is fully detailed in the reference documents on the following page of this Tender. Completion Model The Contract Will Be Assessed Liquidated Damages in Accordance With the Specifications for Liquidated Damages - Completion Specified by Completion Date. Liquidated Damages The Work Must Be Completed by No Later Than November 31, 2023 Daily Liquidated Damages After This Specified Completion Date Will Be Charged to the Contractor at the Rate of Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars Per Calendar Day Until the Work is Completed. The work shall consist of mowing light brush, grass and weeds on Provincial waterways and dikes in the RMS mentioned in the table included. Work start and location to be co-ordinated with Manitoba. Mowing shall extend from the edge of ROW to ROW or as directed by Manitoba down the grade slope. No payment will be made for cuts wider than requested by Manitoba. The Contractor shall make as many passes as are required to achieve the designated width. All mowing shall be done during daylight hours only. Mowing shall be undertaken in such a way as to prevent objects being thrown into the path of vehicular traffic. Mowing of slopes and ditches shall be done so as to produce a uniform finished cut, not exceeding 10 cm in height. Two (2) days after mowing, if vegetation exceeds a height of 10 cm, Manitoba may instruct the Contractor to correct the deficiency at his own expense. If the Contractor fails to comply, Manitoba may have the work undertaken by others and the cost of such work deducted from the Contractor's progressive payment. If the Contractor fails to perform the trimming, Manitoba may have the work undertaken by others. All costs incurred by the Department as a result of taking this action will be deducted from the Contractor's progressive payment.
