Construction should begin in mid-2027. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Auburn is soliciting Proposals from qualified consulting teams to provide professional services for the design, geotechnical evaluation and recommendations, environmental permitting and approvals, cultural & historical review, and potentially construction assistance for the CP2319, Lea Hill Road/104th Avenue SE Roundabout Project. This project will include: The project will replace the existing span wire signal with a roundabout, install rectangular rapid flashing beacons at the three main pedestrian crossings, install street lighting, install an ITS camera, and install 10-foot-wide sidewalks. The roundabout will include features such as chicanes, offsets and/or splitter islands to reduce vehicular approach and departure speeds. Additionally, this project will install a new water transmission main, and replace and abandon ductile iron and cast-iron water mains. The City of Auburn reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this Project.
