Site work for a water / sewer project in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This section shall consist of supplying all labor, materials, and plant and performing all work necessary to lower and control the groundwater levels and hydrostatic pressures to permit all excavation and construction specified under this contract to be performed under dry conditions. The work under this section shall include all costs of mobilization, supply, installation, operation, maintenance, supervision, and final dismantling and removal from the site of the dewatering equipment. The work consists of approximately 58 linear feet of 8-inch (8") cured in place pipe (CIPP) sanitary sewer rehabilitation; 12 obstruction removals; 1 removal of protruding lead; 2 sanitary sewer point repairs; 2 sanitary sewer lead repairs; approximately 6 linear feet of heavy cleaning of 8-inch (8") sanitary sewer pipe; and various repairs to 133 sanitary sewer manholes. For construction contracts $50,000 and over but less than $250,000, the bidder shall submit a certified or cashier's check on a responsible bank in the State equal to two percent (2%) or a bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the maximum total bid amount. For construction over $250,000, the bidder shall submit either a two percent (2%) certified or cashier's check or a five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Make the cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner.
