DESCRIPTION The City of Spokane, through its Facilities Department is initiating this informal Request for Proposals to solicit Proposals from Firms interested in providing Design and Engineering Services for Police Academy Building Addition. It is the responsibility of Proposers to check ProcureWare for Addenda or other additional information that may be posted regarding this Request. SCOPE OF SERVICES 2.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES SUMMARY The City requires professional architectural, civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering design services to complete a program review and analysis, schematic design, design development, cost estimating, and construction bid package development necessary for the construction of approximately 2,720 square feet of new office and classroom space at the Spokane Police Academy. 2.2 SCOPE OF SERVICES The scope of services to be performed by the Firm, under contract, will include, but is not limited to: o Provide architectural, civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering design services to complete a program review and analysis, schematic design, design development, cost estimating, and construction bid package development. o Provide a space inventory and program analysis. o Provide space planning and conceptual design for three alternative options. o Carry the selected option forward and provide design development, permit review, and construction/bid package development for bid and construction. The City will conduct a formal public works invitation to bid process with assistance from Firm as needed. o Function as the "owners' representative" during the bid preparation, release, and review process, continuing the "owners' representative" function by working closely with the City of Spokane's Facility Department during the construction and during final commissioning of this project.
