Site work for a water / sewer project in Darby, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes: replacement of approximately 1200LF of sanitary sewer main with SDR 25 pipe, 70 street laterals with SDR 25 pipe, 4 manholes IAW PennDOT RC details; development and submittal of layout of sewer main such that 4 inch cover and adequate slope for gravity conveyance of sewage are provided. Contractors are responsible to perform an on-site inspection of the project area conditions prior to submitting a bid. Pennsylvania Prevailing wages apply to this project and the determination is included in the bid specifications. Bids must be purchased from the Borough in order for a bid to be considered The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any bid and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder(s) whose services are judged to best meet the interest of the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities during evaluation of the bids. A certified check or bid bond shall be included with the bid for 10% of the total bid amount. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price shall be required as work is identified. A two-year Maintenance Bond for 20% of the contract price will be required.
