The City of Peoria Arizona is separately seeking a qualified design firm and general contractor to provide architectural and engineering services and construction manager at risk services for a new joint use Fire-Medical and Police public safety facility to be located on Twin Buttes Wash Road to serve the Vistancia, Mystic, and successor developments in north Peoria. The Professional Services contract and Construction Manager at Risk contract will be independent contracts, awarded to separate entities. Please submit only for the Construction Management at Risk Services contract. The City of Peoria's total capital budget estimate for this project is currently $18.9M, of which approximately $13.2M is available for construction. Submitting construction firms shall possess and demonstrate recent and advanced knowledge of greenfield fire station preconstruction and construction phase services with complementary experience in either police facility construction or an equivalent institutional project type with key attributes of secure and threat responsive facility construction. Experience in project delivery utilizing a Construction Manager at Risk (or Design Build) delivery method and demonstration of very high customer satisfaction from past clients from the programming phase through the warranty phase will be substantially weighted prequalification's. Question Deadline Oct 23rd 2023, 5:00 PM MST Viorel Gheorghita Contract Officer Viorel.Gheorghita@peoriaaz.gov The Fire-Medical Department desires to construct a four (plus) bay, 'District' sized fire station with a target program size of 14,000 sf, rivaling the current 'District' sized program at Fire Station No. 1 in south Peoria. Different from its smaller 'Neighborhood' fire stations, the 'District' variant accommodates additional apparatus, additional crew dorms, and Battalion Chief office(s) and dorms. Crew offices, day room, kitchen and dining elements and site parking are correspondingly larger. The Peoria Police Department desires to construct an estimated 11,000 additional square feet of patrol functions with an eye toward future expansion into a small precinct that serves the remote northwest areas of the city. Key program elements may include secure and public segregated points of ingress/egress, restroom and lockers, fitness, briefing, three shifts of lieutenant offices and sergeants' open-office work environments, patrol officers report writing zone, and evidence intake. The site program must provide for secure personal vehicle and City fleet vehicle parking. Both the FireMedical and Police parking needs must account for the duplicity of personal and fleet vehicles that occur during shift changes. Both departments and the neighboring community will benefit from a common lobby and public meeting room which may be used to engage the public, for classroom training, tactical training, and/or as an emergency operations incident command post. The site program must provide for non-secure public visitor parking that is sensitive to the recurring flow of public safety vehicles returning to the facility. Shortlist Confirmed.
