Project Number VAMC: 632-09-110 JBA: 1581 SCOPE The Contractor shall provide all manpower as required, including all technical and logistical resources, and perform all operations necessary to provide the following services and develop the deliverables as described in this document. Note that the terms Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) may be used interchangeably and refer to the same entity. This project is located at the Veteran Affairs (VA) Northport NY campus at 79 Middleville Road, Northport NY 11768. The campus contains approximately 268 acres, approximately 107 of those acres have been declared a Historic District. The Northport VA campus was opened in 1928 as a neuropsychiatric veteran s hospital and consists of numerous facilities providing physical infrastructure for patient care, research, education and administration. Due to modifications that were done to the structures over the years, the existing emergency eyewash and shower stations may not be adequate for the current space program or may not be required at all. Emergency eyewashes and showers are first aid rather than preventive measures and must be readily available in spaces where occupants may be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Emergency eyewash and shower stations are not to be used in lieu of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Evaluation of areas for emergency eyewashes and showers was conducted as if PPE were not used. The scope of this project is to provide new emergency eyewash and drench shower stations to the required spaces and upgrade or remove existing stations. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for installations, upgrades, or removal of emergency eyewash and shower stations as shown on contract documents (E.G. SOW, drawings, schedules, specifications). Work may include general demolition, construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical, & plumbing work, necessary for the successful execution and completion of the project. The contract completion time is 300 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
